ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS These "Terms and Conditions" constitute an agreement between you and Columbia India Hospitals Praktice.ai's Collaboration on providing the services. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY, UNDERSTAND EACH OF THEM AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THEM. By accepting these Terms and Conditions once, you agree that you will be bound by them each and every time you use our Site or otherwise interact with us online. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you may not access or otherwise use our Site.

The AI Assistant service by Columbia India Hospitals

The AI powered health assistant by Columbia India Hospitals named Aditi is enabled by Praktice.ai the healthcare AI Patient experience company, on the website of Columbia India Hospitals. This AI assistant’s primary purpose is to allow users to book or manage their appointments or other healthcare services by letting them enter their symptoms, medical conditions or treatment that they are seeking to get done at Columbia India Hospitals. This AI service also guides the users over hospital directions, timings or facility related enquiries.

Not a medical Substitute

No Content on this patient access platform, is or should be considered, or used as a substitute for, medical advice, care, diagnosis or treatment. This is only for the purpose of realtime appointment bookings, non emergency appointment scheduling, elective or non elective treatment consultation bookings which are not an emergency or urgency.

Not For Emergencies

Anybody using the services by the AI assistant must not use this for any medical or psychiatric emergency purpose. In an emergency, you should dial   one of the below numbers  or visit the emergency department at your nearest Columbia India Hospitals.

Allowed age group

You must be at least 16 years or older and capable in your country of residence of entering into a legal binding agreement to use Columbia India Hospitals AI Assistant's services in your country of residence.

What can the AI Assistant help you with

  • Transaction:  Any appointment booked, rescheduled or cancelled. Or any health checkup service booking, diagnostic tests bookings, vaccination bookings, enquires generated for the hospital staff, insurance approval statuses tickets etc via this AI assistant service is deemed as transaction. For managing the appointments of self, dependant individuals(child/elderly) you may be requested to provide an OTP/UHID to authorize/identify yourself.

  • Conversation: Any chat with the AI assistant resulting or not resulting into a transaction is a conversation.

The Columbia India Hospitals patient support team

The Columbia India Hospitals patient support team is available as an extension to the AI assistant services. In cases of certain complex transactions, your lead may be collected and  shared to the hospital patient support team to call you back at the earliest.

Can I talk on behalf of others?

For users below the age group of 18 years the parents or guardians can talk to the AI assistant service regarding the health of the person. For adults above the age of 18 years the parents or guardians or relatives must have a verbal or written consent from the patient to discuss their health with the AI Assistant except for the cases when the patient is not in a position to see or admit their problem. In any such case the party on behalf of the patient must maintain the patient confidentiality.

Medical records

Under the Data Protection Act (1998) a person's medical records can be accessed by:

  • the person themselves

  • a parent or guardian of children under 16 – although in some cases the child may be entitled to decide if this information is passed on

  • a friend or relative, if they have the person's written permission

  • a friend or relative, if they have power of attorney

Whenever you provide personal information namely - Patient name, associated Age, Date of Birth, phone number we encrypt your data end to end to pass it to Columbia India Hospitals and do-not have any visibility of any of your information in line with data protection law.

  • training all staff annually in data and security protection

  • monitoring our platform to keep your personal information secure

  • following good practice guidance provided by the National Technical Authority

  • always using legally binding agreements with all organisations we use

  • having security and confidentiality policies in place across the organisation, to which staff must agree before they’re given access to personal information

  • restricting access to personal information to only those staff who need access to perform their role

However no software or application can be completely secure. If you have any concerns that your account could have been compromised (for example, someone could have discovered your password), please follow the instructions on our help and support page.

  • who the controller is for the personal data processed when you use the Columbia India Hospitals AI Assistant

Our Relationship

These Terms of Service and any documents referred to within it (collectively, the ''Terms'') govern your use of Praktice.ai services and your relationship with us. It is important that you read and understand the Terms before you start using our Services. By using this service, you confirm that you agree with these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms you should not use our Services.

Changes to our Terms and Conditions

Praktice.ai and Columbia India Hospitals reserves the right, in their sole discretion and with or without notice, to change, modify, add or remove any portion of these Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, at any time. Notification to these Terms and Conditions will be posted on the service or site. Your continued use of our Service or Site after such changes are posted will constitute your agreement to such changed Terms and Conditions.
